• Al Jabri: " Saudi Vision 2030 " makes great trade and investment opportunities in the Kingdom

    Canadian trade delegation reviews the cooperation in the oil and gas sector of Asharqia Chamber  
     
               
    The member of Directors of Asharqia Chamber and chairman of the Land Transportation in the Chamber, Bandar Al Jabri, stressed the deep historical and trade relations with Canada, in a meeting on Monday October 31- 2016 in the Chamber headquarters a Canadian delegation of the pioneer companies in various fields, most prominently oil and gas, power generation and engineering.
        Al Jabri said in the meeting, which was attended by delegation and the head of Europe and the Middle East in the Ministry of International Trade Government of Ontario, Vitaly Barushin and a representative of the Government of Alberta, Alexander Conradi, and the secretary general of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and a number of businessmen and interested figures, that the Kingdom and after the launch of "Vision 2030 "has  made huge trade and investment opportunities in the Kingdom, urging Canadian companies to take advantage of those opportunities, pointing to a number of major Canadian companies such as Lavalin, Bombardier, Blackberry, Four Seasons and Fairmont Hotels and that water stations already attaining an active role in the Saudi market.

    Jabri focused on investment in oil and gas sector, pointing that the eastern region has the lion share in world reserve moreover it is a center of industrial activities of high standard in petrochemical projects in Jubail first, and second in Ras Al Khair Industrial City.
        Jabri pointed to the mutual relations between the two countries resulted in a number of collaborations in various aspects including education, as a lot of Saudi students prefer to study in Canada and consider it as their preferred destination to graduation studies, according to a statistic that says more than 16,000 Saudi students are currently studying in various educational Canadian institutions including a big number  that are medical students.
        
    For his part, Vitaly said that Canada has a fortune of natural resources and these resources are essential to the economies of Alberta in Ontario. He pointed that the oil sands are a powerful source of energy, making Canada the third biggest oil reserve in the world.
        
    For his part, Conradi said that Alberta is the biggest producer of oil and natural gas in Canada and is a source to huge stored  oil sands, and has the natural gas resources, and that Canada is the fifth biggest producer of natural gas in the world. The estimated gas reservations are currently 1,087 trillion cubic feet, pointing to the interest in modern technology, enabling it to improve resources in an efficient way and economically beneficial.
        
    The Canadian delegation witnessed the participation of specialized companies in the merchandise system and project management, and painting technology, automatic operation, devices and systems, programming and laboratory expertise and financial advisory services.
